Fulfillment

Fulfillment

At Maple Logistics Solutions, we have extensive capabilities in both third-party fulfillment (3PF) and inventory management. Conveniently located in Central Pennsylvania, we eliminate inventory management issues for our customers and move products quickly from our warehouses to their final destinations giving you more time to focus on the other crucial parts of your business.  Products handled vary from CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), retail products, dry food products, and industrial products.  Your products are inspected upon receipt, sorted, and stored carefully in our warehouse to ensure flawless, undamaged fulfillment.

Inventory Management and Third-party Fulfillment

A rigorous receiving process ensures that counts are accurate; products are received undamaged; and safe, convenient locations are chosen to store your products for an accurate and streamlined fulfillment process. Our barcoding technology uses a variety of formats including SKU, UPC, GCID, EAN, and ISBN formats to accurately inventory and pick products. Items are generally available for order fulfillment within 24 hours of receipt. Our meticulous yet streamlined process maximizes speed of processing while requiring the utmost attention to care when handling your products. Inventory management has long been an area of strength for our fulfillment centers.

Real-time Tracking and Information

Radio Frequency (RF) technology tracks products to consistently maintain an inventory accuracy level exceeding 99.99%. The control process is aided by our cycle-counting procedures which are systematically performed on an ongoing basis. Inventory records are updated throughout each day and regular reporting is available covering all aspects of inventory history allowing for proper management and control. Real-time information regarding receipts, orders, and shipment information can be accessed 24/7 at our customer portal, the InfoNet.

InfoNet dashboard

On the InfoNet dashboard, you are able to see the progression of your products as they go through the receiving procedure, are prepared for storage, are packed, and ultimately shipped. This dashboard can be used to track daily, weekly, and monthly activity and is useful when calculating the appropriate time to replenish inventory levels.

The fulfillment process begins with the receipt of a batch of orders. We receive orders over a variety of platforms that are generally transmitted via FTP, EDI, email, or a direct connection to your eCommerce website. Orders are then segregated into bulk shipments, carton-picks, and pick-and-pack fulfillment categories. The orders in these different fulfillment categories are sent to the warehouse to be picked, packed, and shipped. We use a scan and verify procedure to confirm that the correct product and quantities are packed in each carton by scanning the contents of each order as the products are packed.

Packing and Prepare for Shipping

When packing your products, we take great care to ensure safety of the items during shipping. Our goals are to pack accurately, pay attention to detail, and ensure product quality through every step of the fulfillment process. Packed orders that are prepared for shipment are transported to a metering station where they are processed for shipment, per customer specifications, using all major package carriers. Truck shipments and pick-ups are also available, if requested.

Shipping

We use a fully-integrated shipping system offering benefits to our customers using United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express (FedEx), and the United States Postal Service (USPS) including full tracking information. The InfoNet dashboard can be utilized to view shipping status, view receiving information, inventory details, shipping status, tracking details and even for placing orders.

Storage Space

Each of our fulfillment facilities has significant pick-and-pack capacity and we pride ourselves on our ample storage capabilities. Our warehouses located in York PA, Fredericksburg PA and Mount Joy PA can accommodate a wide variety of sizes, weights, and classes of products. For more information, see the Warehousing page under the Services tab above for a detailed breakdown of our facility space, including the different types of storage options we have available which include ambient, secure, and food-grade storage.
